Women of the Harvest and Crowns of Hope
Tuesday, February 08, 2011 - Tuesday, April 12, 2011Thank you to all who participated in the she Ministries Spring 2011 Outreach to Women of the Harvest, a source of support and encouragement for women serving in the mission field. Your generous donations of clothing for their free boutique will provide a wonderful shopping experience for these amazing servants. All clothes were delivered to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to support the July 2011 retreat.
Also, donations for Crowns of Hope, an organization providing comfort to women and children facing long-term medical treatment through MP3 players loaded with Christian music and messages of encouragement, totaled more than $2,200. Thank you so much for your generous support of this organization which touches the lives of so many facing critical health issues.

Ronald McDonald House
Wednesday, December 01, 2010 - Friday, December 31, 2010The Women at Calvary's Fall 2010 Outreach to The Ronald McDonald House, an organization that assists the families of critically ill children by providing temporary lodging, was a wonderful success thanks to the generosity of our Bible study participants! We were able to provide $1865.18 in cash and gift card donations, 150 AT&T long-distance minutes, and 150 pounds of pull tabs, as well as provide cooking, cleaning, gardening, and other services at the facility throughout the semester.
The Women at Calvary also collected $115 in support of Crowns of Hope, an organization that furnishes MP3 players loaded with Christian music and messages of encouragement to women and children with long term illness.

The Aspen Project
Tuesday, April 20, 2010The Women at Calvary's April 2010 Outreach to The Aspen Project, an organization that assists with needs after adoption, was a wonderful success thanks to the generosity of our Bible study participants! Between the AM and PM study, we were able to donate $421.75 in support of this organization. Thank you for your support of The Aspen Project.

Global Adventures Uganda Missionary Kelli O’Hea
Sunday, February 28, 2010Thank you to all who participated in our February outreach to the missionaries in Jinja, Uganda. Through your generous donations, we were able to make a large shipment of personal items to the compound in Africa. We were also able to present them with a little over $1,300.00 in cash donations.

To'Hajiilee Navajo Community Children
Tuesday, November 17, 2009The Women at Calvary's November 2009 Outreach to the children of the To'Hajiilee Navajo community , was a wonderful success thanks to the generosity of our Bible study participants! The AM and PM Bible study participants donated $1435 and Walmart came alongside this effort with a $406.15 donation. These donations allowed our Outreach team to shop for thirty-one children, ages 4-months to 14-years. We were able to purchase warm coats, pajamas, sweats, socks, hats, gloves, and a cartoon throw for each child. The generous donation from Walmart also allowed us to donate about $300 to the food pantry at Calvary.

Global Adventures Missionaries Carlos & Sylvia Garcia
Saturday, October 31, 2009The Women at Calvary's October 2009 Outreach to Amigo Fiel in Juarez, Mexico, was a wonderful success thanks to the generosity of our Bible study participants! We were able to provide much needed toiletries, pajamas, and adult hygiene items to women residing in the nursing home where Global Adventures Missionaries Carlos and Sylvia Garcia minister. We also collected a total of $585.84 for other needs they may have.

Albuquerque Rescue Mission Women’s Center of Hope
Wednesday, September 30, 2009Thank you to all who participated in our September outreach to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission Women's Center of Hope. Your kind generosity allowed our outreach team to deliver several loads of clothing, hygiene products and toiletries to this center which provides a twelve month, home-like environment to homeless women. We were also able to present them with $706.00 in cash donations.
The Women at Calvary will also provide workbooks and CD's of our current Bible study, Live Deeply, a Study in the Parables of Jesus.

S.A.F.E. House NM
Thursday, April 30, 2009Thank you to all who participated in our April outreach to S.A.F.E. House NM. A wish list of linens, cleaning products, and paper goods has been donated by our ministry. To date we have been able to deliver more than two large loads of supplies to this organization. Your generosity has also allowed the Women at Calvary to provide cash donations for S.A.F.E. House NM. We would especially like to thank Bethany Dorl for donating computer artwork for the organization’s logo and to David Peabody of Fast Signs for donating a sign for their thrift shop.

We completely sold out of our 200 beautifully handcrafted bags over the month, raising $6,000 for the ladies of Asociación de Mujeres Manos Unidas de Ayacucho.

March Outreach: Calvary Food Pantry Ministry
Saturday, March 15, 2008Thank you to all who participated in our March outreach to Calvary’s Food Pantry Ministry. Your kind generosity allowed our outreach team to deliver more than five overflowing bins of non-perishable food items and clothing to this ministry. Our Women at Calvary team of six, along with several family members, was also blessed with the opportunity to serve alongside Food Pantry Volunteers on Monday evenings during the month.

February Outreach: St. Valentine's Day Nursing Home Outreach
Friday, February 15, 2008The Women at Calvary Outreach Team hosted a Valentine’s Outreach to the Paloma Blanca Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday afternoon, February 16, 2008. We arrived with cake, ice cream, sets of Skip Heitzig’s tapes, and servant’s hearts. Odessa McClain opened the fellowship with introductions followed by prayer led by Lisa Cousins. We were then given the opportunity to serve the residents the goodies we brought and to chat with them one-on-one. One team member was asked to sing and blessed the group as she opened with Amazing Grace. We were also able to pray with several of the residents. Those of us who went to bring cheer and Christian fellowship to Paloma Blanca Health and Rehabilitation Center were blessed more than those we went to bless. We look forward to a time of fellowship at Paloma Blanca in the future.

November Outreach: Joy Junction
Tuesday, November 27, 2007Thank you to all who participated in our November outreach to Joy Junction. Your kind generosity allowed our outreach team to deliver hundreds of personal care items, along with several blankets and sleeping bags. Our Women at Calvary team of seven, along with several family members, was also blessed with the opportunity to help serve dinner to over 200 people on November 24. It is always our privilege to come alongside Joy Junction, a vital part of our community whose mission is to care for the homeless.

October Outreach: Adopt-A-Platoon
Wednesday, October 31, 2007The Women at Calvary Outreach team is excited to report on our successful October 2007 Outreach to the 82nd Airborne Division through the Adopt-A-Platoon program. Your generosity resulted in 124 letters and phone cards for this platoon of paratroopers plus 520 prayer patches for their helmets.

September Outreach: Frontline Resources
Sunday, September 30, 2007The generosity of the Women at Calvary took on spectacular proportions during the month of September. Through Frontline Resources the Women at Calvary were able to reach beyond the "Bamboo Curtain" to help our brothers and sisters in Christ who are so vehemently persecuted for their faith, even to the point of death. We were able to present Frontline Resources with a check for $1,583.09 to be used for those in most urgent need. Thank you to all who so graciously participated.

December Coat Outreach
Thursday, December 07, 2006Our December coat outreach to Casa Hogar Libertad Bethel Orphanage in Juarez, Mexico, was greeted by over 100 smiling children who received beautiful jackets donated by you, the Women at Calvary!

November Outreach
Tuesday, November 21, 2006The Women at Calvary were blessed with the opportunity to come alongside the Food Pantry in November and help provide Thanksgiving grocery bags and Christmas items for families. We were able to assist approximately 100 families with prayer and a donated bag of groceries on Monday, November 20. All who participated in this outreach were touched by the spiritual, emotional, and physical blessing facilitated by the Food Pantry Ministry at Calvary.

October Outreach to BCDC
Saturday, October 21, 2006The Women at Calvary held their first outreach of the fall semester on Saturday, October 21st. Pastor Greg Griego and approximately 25 women traveled to the Bernalillo County Detention Center for a time of sharing and fellowship with the women residing there. Highlights of this outreach include our opening prayer by Pastor Greg, worship by the Men's God Pod, a reading from the Book of John by Pastor Skip Heitzig, and a special message by Angela DiPrima. We were able to serve all of the ladies a lunch of pizza and soda, and personally deliver the donated items received by the Women at Calvary attendees. Donated items included 90 personal items packets and 90 sets of Christian literature. This event concluded with a time of one-on-one prayer and fellowship with the ladies at BCDC. We wish to extend our thanks to all who prayed for, donated to, and participated in this outreach event.
Outreach to Juarez
Sunday, May 21, 2006The Women at Calvary's outreach trip to Juarez, Mexico returned on Sunday, May 21st, after a wonderful time of service, study, fellowship and prayer. Their 9-person outreach team visited Global Adventures missionaries Ernesto and Maggie Vega of Calvary Chapel Las Palmas. The primary focus of this trip was to finish painting the male and female dorms located in the mission, as well as the missionary's home. The outreach team also hosted a special Bible study dinner for the women living in the area. This event included worship and a special message given in Spanish by outreach team member Maria Guy. At the conclusion of this event many of the guests came forward asking for prayer.
The outreach team was also honored to treat the Vegas to dinner at a local restaurant complete with Mariachi singers, dance performances, amazing rope tricks, and dancing chickens! The Vegas, who are rarely able to leave the church compound, were able to relax and enjoy this evening of fun and fellowship.
The Women at Calvary look forward to future outreach trips to Calvary Chapel Las Palmas in Juarez, Mexico.
